On May 16, 2025, the chairman of the Finance and Economics Committee of the Senate of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Saleem Mandviwalla, visited the Peace Garden Museum and held in-depth cooperation talks with the chairman of the China World Peace Foundation, the President of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, Dr. Li Ruohong, and the secretary-general Wang Hongzhuan drew a new blueprint for bilateral cooperation on the construction of the China Pakistan economic and cultural corridor under the framework of the "Belt and Road"

At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman Li Ruohong reviewed the long-term friendly cooperation between the foundation and Pakistan. Over the years, both sides have carried out multiple effective cooperation projects in various fields, which not only promote exchanges and development between the two sides, but also deepen their friendly friendship through repeated visits. Chairman Li Ruohong expressed the hope to continue promoting economic and cultural independent public welfare projects in the future. By fully demonstrating the actual needs of the two countries, accurately setting up cooperation projects, using projects as a link to drive deep cooperation between enterprises, and attracting broad participation from young people from both countries, especially young international students, providing technical training and employment guidance to help them grow into talents of society, and further inheriting and promoting the talks between China and Pakistan.

Chairman H.E. Mr. Saleem Mandviwalla agreed with Chairman Li Ruohong's proposal. He mentioned that he has visited China multiple times and established close cooperation with Chinese government agencies and various parties. He hopes to further promote cooperation with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on this basis. For this reason, he warmly invited the China World Peace Foundation to join the cooperation conference that has been launched so far. Chairman H.E. Mr. Saleem Mandviwalla emphasized, "This will be a brand new starting point, and it is necessary for the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation to carry out activities and projects in Pakistan. We should refine the areas of cooperation as soon as possible and promote the implementation of various cooperation with a pragmatic attitude

In the face of the current conflict between India and Pakistan, both sides agree that holding peace activities during this critical period is of great and far-reaching significance. Through peaceful activities, not only can we contribute to regional peace and stability, but we can also deepen the cooperation consensus between China and Pakistan in the cause of peace. Both sides agreed that Chairman H.E. Mr. Saleem Mandviwalla will visit Beijing again in mid July to sign a formal cooperation agreement with Dr. Li Ruohong, injecting new vitality into the peace cause between China and Pakistan through practical actions, jointly writing a new chapter of friendly cooperation between China and Pakistan, continuously consolidating and developing the "iron brother" friendship between the two countries, and contributing positive forces to regional and world peace and stability.
